Robben IslandV&A Waterfront with Table Mtn in the background

Day 1

What a better way to start your South African tour than with a trip by cable car up Table Mountain. See the whole of Cape Town and the peninsula from this great – vantage. After lunch at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, we climb aboard a mega-yacht and take a cruise out to Robben Island, now a World Heritage sight. There we go ashore and visit the famous prison that was started in the colonial times and continued into the Apartheid era. It has been the home to many famous prisoners, the most famous being Nelson Mandela. Here we go on a guided tour and relive the trials and tribulations that these men went through. As we return to Cape Town you can watch the sun setting over the ocean. Once ashore you can indulge in the great diversity of nightlife that only Cape Town has to offer.
